This exemplifies Synergy’s commitment, through continued investment in the Nordics, to helping clients in that region accelerate their decarbonisation journey

Growing demand from European shipowners for world class, technology-enabled ship management services has meant that Synergy Marine Group has moved to a much larger office in the south Copenhagen neighbourhood of Ørestad.
Denmark’s capital, where the Group opened a new office in 2019, has long been an influential shipping hub, with Maersk, Hafnia, J. Lauritzen, DEE4 Capital Partners and a host of other progressive owners and operators having a substantial presence.

This is one of the reasons why, as the transit to zero maritime emissions accelerates, Copenhagen is now a leading centre for maritime green tech, with the Danish shipping sector having set its sights on at least 5% of its operated fleet being capable of running on well-to-wake green zero-emission fuels (such as hydrogen, ammonia and methanol) by 2030.

“As ship managers we are at the very heart of transition, touching all aspects – technological, operational and human,” said Tommy Thomassen, COO at Synergy Marine Group (Tankers). “As technical thought partners, we are creating confidence among our customers in our own ability to move to alternative, non-fossil fuels.”

Synergy’s new address in Ørestad, Copenhagen is:
