Renowned for his innovative and forward-thinking leadership on sustainability, diversity and technology, and his ability to forge thought and technical partnerships with like-minded companies. A passionate marathoner, Captain Unni is vocal supporter of shipping’s net zero emissions ambition by 2050. He is a leading business creator, committed family man and determined philanthropist.

Capt. Amit Prakash Sharma

Having spent two decades at sea, mostly on gas tankers of various types, Amit commanded VLEC (Ethane) vessels before coming onshore. He is currently managing MOL Tanker manning and recruitment. Amit finds Synergy’s workplace sufficiently collaborative and motivating in having entrusted him with this management responsibility. He enjoys music, spending time with his kids, road trips, photography, and cross-country running.

Anshul leads the Marine Recruitment Service Business division for Synergy. He firmly believes that honesty and transparency in an organization go a long way in attracting the right talent. Anshul enjoys martial arts and during his leisure time, he enjoys long drives accompanied by classic Bollywood hits.

Capt. Charanjiv Singh Nalwa

With 23 years experience on container ships, reefers and bulkers, Charanjiv joined Synergy in 2008 and came ashore in 2013. Heading maritime recruiting in Delhi, and Group Head for container manning, he also sits on the Indian Maritime University Nautical Board. Charanjiv believes that Synergy values bring out the best in its employees, and loves travelling and social work.

James is a go-getter with an unmatchable optimism. His zeal and enthusiasm have always pushed him to walk the extra mile. He strongly believes that knowledge is most useful when liberated and shared.

Ranjan Shetty

Handling over 40 vessels, Ranjan manages Synergy’s entire manning portfolio. Before joining in 2018 he sailed for seven years and worked ashore in manning, also for seven years. Synergy’s core values and work culture make Ranjan proud of the organisation, and he seeks to broaden his knowledge of ship management in the areas of business development and chartering.

Samitinjoy Tewary

Samit is responsible for planning and executing effective crew changes within the container fleet, and also monitoring crew expenses and purchase order and invoice management for the entire fleet. After 18 years with leading multinational banks he joined Synergy in 2019. Samit is a musical instrumentalist, loves nature photography and cherishes Synergy’s healthy work environment, great teamwork and diversified learning.

Capt. Shireesh Lall

Shireesh is Fleet Manager for Crewing Operations at Synergy, and responsible for the Fairfield Chemical Carriers and MOL Chemical Tankers pools. Alongside a decade of seagoing experience, he has served ashore since 2006. Shireesh joined Synergy in 2021 and finds teamwork, mutual respect, good leadership and high ethical standards very welcoming. He loves badminton, cricket, travelling and meeting new people.

Capt. Sudarsan Srinivasan

Responsible for selecting cadets and mentoring Masters and Chief Officers, Sudarshan ensures maximum interaction with training, webinars, seminars and other briefings. Also involved in developing the Ahoy app, Sudarshan joined in 2016, bringing maritime experience dating back to 1991. He firmly believes in Synergy’s values of team spirit and freedom of expression, and lists badminton, tennis and film-making among his hobbies.

Capt. Suman Kumar Singh

Suman and his team are responsible for the resourcing, planning, documenting and overall logistics of recruiting and training all Synergy ratings. He joined Synergy in 2019 after twenty years at sea and two years ashore, and has gained a sense of ownership, confidence and independence. A keen traveller, he looks forward to his next venture, far from mobile connectivity.

Capt. Vikas Sehrawat

As a Fleet Manager, Vikas is responsible for the recruitment and planning of deck officers for Synergy’s oil and chemical tankers. He joined the company in 2020 and has spent 24 years at sea on parcel chemical tankers, including 14 years in command. He is inspired by Synergy’s family-style work environment. At leisure, Vikas relishes playing badminton and travelling.

Visweswaran Viswanathan

Capt. Viswanathan started his sea career in 1988 and joined ashore in 2003. He holds 4 years command experience on tankers. In his onshore stint, he served as a Senior Operations Manager in commercial operations, Marine Manager and Fleet Manager in crew management during these years. Viswanathan and his teams are currently handling Post Sea training for seafarers, Manning QMS, manning elements of TMSA and Flag Documentation in SMRSPL. He is a go-getter, problem solver and loves to travel to remote places.

IMPA

Synergy Marine Group is involved in IMPA Save’s initiative to reduce single-use water bottles at sea. The IMPA SAVE council comprises top global shipowners and suppliers, representing over 8000 vessels with significant combined purchasing influence.

Synergy Marine Group is a key participant in The All Aboard Alliance’s Diversity@Sea initiative. As one of eleven prominent maritime companies, we aim to foster inclusivity at sea and directly address challenges faced by women seafarers.
