With a pool of multinational and multi-skilled specialists, Synergy Group’s experienced and capable new build team provides owners and other stakeholders with professional consultancy, project management and supervision services for their new build and conversion projects worldwide.

The new ship building and supervision team can handle all financial, technical, operational, and environmental aspects, from conceptualisation to post delivery, including:

  • Project feasibility study; 
  • Inspection, evaluation, and selection of yards; 
  • Negotiation of the build contract, including detailed specification, makers’ lists and selection of machinery and equipment;
  • Plan review and approval;
  • Attendance at and evaluation of model and factory acceptance tests; 
  • Overall supervision; 
  • Evaluation of shop tests, keel-laying and dock, sea and gas trials;
  • Guaranteed claim management 

Our team also helps in providing LNG-based power plant FSU and FSRU facilities for southeast Asian countries, by for example converted 126k and 127k Moss type LNG carriers.

The team provides a one-stop solution for clients, which includes:

  • Selection of the LNG carrier, project conceptualisation and operational optimisation; 
  • Detailed specifications for the conversion, involving basic and also Front End Engineering Design;
  • Selection of the yard, including contract negotiation;
  • Engineering, procurement, and construction;
  • Technical consultancy, including equipment selection;
  • Site supervision and LNG carrier drydock work;
  • Commissioning;
  • Complete FSU and FSRU operation, including bespoke maintenance to reduce operating expenditure and all STS matters
