“FIRST FALCON” Exemplifies Collaboration and Professionalism at Port Hedland Approach

First Falcon successful pilotage

During her approach to Port Hedland, Western Australia on 17 April, one of our managed Capesize bulk carriers was boarded by six pilots via helicopter from Pilbara Ports, as part of pilotage to her berth and for ongoing appraisal of the pilots.

With great coordination among the pilot team and the crew, all operations were carried out highly professionally and successfully. The vessel and crew received very positive and encouraging feedback, both verbally from the pilots and via the feedback form that was completed on the Bridge.

Since delivery in early August 2023 the “FIRST FALCON” has been manned by a Vietnamese crew and managed by Synergy Ocean Maritime Inc. Alongside pilotage and port operations, it is privilege to participate in the port authorities’ annual assessment program.
