EDT teams up with Synergy for offshore vessel push

EDT Offshore, a Cyprus-based provider of marine and subsea services, and Singapore-based shipmanagement group Synergy Marine, have launched a joint venture aimed at providing shipmanagement solutions for the offshore industry. The partners said that the new entity, EDT Synergy Shipmanagement, would leverage the expertise of both companies while addressing decarbonisation and digitalisation challenges in the “unique” offshore sector.

Global ship management firm Synergy Marine Group has launched a joint venture with Cyprus-based integrated marine and subsea services provider EDT Offshore Ltd. to offer tailor-made solutions to the offshore industry. The joint venture, EDT Synergy Shipmanagement Ltd., which is based in Cyprus, will address key challenges in offshore vessel management, including the high energy demands of dynamic positioning, limited access to alternative fuels and the growing need for sustainable retrofitting, Synergy Marine said in a statement.
