In August 2022, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) recognised the search and rescue efforts of our crew on board the ‘HLS AMBER’ and ‘FAIRCHEM VICTORY’ at the International Safety@Sea Awards held in Singapore.

The Annual International Safety@Sea Awards held during the International Safety@Sea Week recognises outstanding efforts of organizations and individuals who have played a significant part in ensuring safety at sea.

As part of the MPA’s eighth International Safety@Sea Week, Captain Kim and his crew were recognised by one of the awards for Outstanding Contribution to Search and Rescue Efforts in 2021.

This was for their search and rescue efforts on the “HLS AMBER” in the Singapore Strait on 12th March 2021, and an immaculate Captain Kim is shown being presented with the award by the MPA CEO Ley Hoon QUAH, with his justly proud wife Suhyun Baek and also Captain Ravindra P Singh (Group Head, Gas Carriers, Synergy Marine Group) in the audience.

There was also a Letter of Commendation for Captain Pradeep Singh and the crew of the “FAIRCHEM VICTORY”, for their commendable efforts in the Ionian Sea on 12th October 2021.
