Synergy Takes Over Technical Management of FSRU

According to HaberDenizde, the Karadeniz LNGT Powership Americas — a 30-year-old LNG carrier converted into an FSRU — has now come under the full technical management of Synergy Marine Group, following its completion at Seatrium shipyard in Singapore. The conversion was carried out as a turnkey project, covering design, engineering, procurement, and site supervision. Post-delivery, Synergy will continue to manage the vessel’s operations, showcasing its end-to-end expertise in LNG-to-power solutions.

From Scrap to Power Plant: 30-Year-Old Tanker Reborn as Floating Energy Unit

Søfart.dk reports that Synergy Marine Group has successfully converted a 30-year-old LNG tanker into the FSRU Karadeniz LNGT Powership Americas. Delivered from Seatrium’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore, Synergy oversaw the entire process — from design and engineering to site supervision and ongoing technical management. The FSRU represents an important step in delivering fast-track LNG-to-power solutions worldwide, particularly in regions that lack established gas infrastructure.

Synergy Assumes Management of Karpowership’s Newly Converted FSRU

Offshore-Energy reports that Synergy Marine Group has taken over full management of the Karadeniz LNGT Powership Americas, following its conversion from a 125,000 m³ LNG carrier into a floating storage and regasification unit. Cyprus-based owner EDT Offshore has formed a new ship management company with Synergy Marine Group of Singapore.
EDT Synergy Shipmanagement aims to deliver “innovative and sustainable” operations and solutions, addressing industry challenges in decarbonisation and digitalisation, the partners said.The Limassol owner and its global ship management partner said the new company had been registered in Cyprus.

They will deliver tailored ship management solutions to the offshore industry. Synergy Marine Group is the world’s second-largest ship manager and the largest third-party manager of Indian-flagged vessels.

EDT Offshore, a Cyprus-based provider of marine and subsea services, and Singapore-based shipmanagement group Synergy Marine, have launched a joint venture aimed at providing shipmanagement solutions for the offshore industry. The partners said that the new entity, EDT Synergy Shipmanagement, would leverage the expertise of both companies while addressing decarbonisation and digitalisation challenges in the “unique” offshore sector.
