Synergy Expands Offshore Portfolio with Five Jack-Up Barges

Seatrade Maritime reports that Synergy Marine Group, via its Saudi division Synergy Ship Arabia, has assumed full technical management of five self-propelled jack-up barges (Jana 505–509) owned by Jana Marine, supporting offshore operations in Saudi Arabia. The move reinforces Synergy’s position as a full-service offshore manager in the GCC and aligns with regional growth ambitions tied to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

TradeWinds reports that Synergy Marine Group has signed a new offshore vessel management agreement with Jana Marine Services, covering a fleet of offshore support assets operating in the Middle East. The collaboration strengthens Synergy’s regional presence and underscores its integrated offshore capabilities through its Dammam-based subsidiary, Synergy Ship Arabia.

New Methanol and Offshore Projects Mark Synergy’s Next Growth Phase

In a recent TradeWinds interview, Group CEO Jesper Kristensen shared that Synergy Marine Group will manage new methanol-fuelled container vessels for a Far East shipowner and form a joint venture with a Norwegian partner operating geared bulkers. He added that the Group has also taken on five jack-up barges for offshore energy projects.

Jesper emphasised that growth must balance scale with quality, defining Ship Management 2.0 as a model where “safety is a system, data is insight, and sustainability is measurable.”

Synergy Takes Over Technical Management of FSRU

According to HaberDenizde, the Karadeniz LNGT Powership Americas — a 30-year-old LNG carrier converted into an FSRU — has now come under the full technical management of Synergy Marine Group, following its completion at Seatrium shipyard in Singapore. The conversion was carried out as a turnkey project, covering design, engineering, procurement, and site supervision. Post-delivery, Synergy will continue to manage the vessel’s operations, showcasing its end-to-end expertise in LNG-to-power solutions.

From Scrap to Power Plant: 30-Year-Old Tanker Reborn as Floating Energy Unit

Søfart.dk reports that Synergy Marine Group has successfully converted a 30-year-old LNG tanker into the FSRU Karadeniz LNGT Powership Americas. Delivered from Seatrium’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore, Synergy oversaw the entire process — from design and engineering to site supervision and ongoing technical management. The FSRU represents an important step in delivering fast-track LNG-to-power solutions worldwide, particularly in regions that lack established gas infrastructure.
