KARADENIZ LNGT POWERSHIP TÜRKIYE, a converted floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), is preparing to enter service under Synergy Marine Group’s technical management.

The vessel builds on Synergy’s work with Karpowership across LNG conversion projects, commissioning and technical management.

Singapore, 15 October 2026

KARADENIZ LNGT POWERSHIP TÜRKIYE is preparing to enter service as a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) under Synergy Marine Group’s technical management, following her naming ceremony at Seatrium’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore in September.

Synergy’s involvement in her conversion and commissioning builds on its work with LNGT AMERICAS and LNGT OCEANIA. For LNGT AMERICAS, delivered in 2025, Synergy managed the conversion project on a turnkey basis, covering design, engineering, procurement and site supervision before assuming full technical management. The Group’s LNG conversion record also includes an LNG carrier-to-floating storage unit (FSU) project completed in 2020.

Seatrium carried out LNGT TÜRKIYE’s shipyard conversion for Karpowership. The vessel has 127,594 m³ of LNG storage in Moss-type tanks and can regasify up to 150 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.

Synergy’s Projects and Lifecycle team works alongside its gas carrier management colleagues, bringing knowledge gained during conversion and commissioning into maintenance planning, crew preparation and technical support in service.

Jesper Kristensen, Group CEO of Synergy Marine Group, said:

“Karpowership is giving LNG carriers a second working life as gas supply infrastructure for power generation. For me, the test of a conversion is how well the unit serves that new purpose over the years that follow. Our responsibility continues in service, so maintainability and the demands on the crew matter to us from the project stage. I thank Karpowership for its confidence in Synergy across LNGT AMERICAS, OCEANIA and TÜRKIYE.”
