Synergy Denmark wins AMVER Award for Maritime Safety

Synergy Denmark A/S is honoured to receive the AMVER Award, recognising our unwavering commitment to safety and responsibility at sea. This prestigious award was presented on 8 October at the Danish Shipping headquarters in Copenhagen, with Danish Shipping CEO Anne Steffensen and U.S. Ambassador to Denmark, Alan M. Leventhal officiating the ceremony.

Representing Synergy’s dedication both ashore and at sea, Umesh Shinde, Managing Director of Synergy Denmark, accepted the award on behalf of our teams.

This recognition is a testament to the relentless commitment of our seafarers, who play a crucial role in ensuring safety, aiding those in distress, and upholding Synergy’s dedication to global maritime welfare. Through active participation in the AMVER (Automated Mutual-Assistance Vessel Rescue) program, our crews contribute to coordinated search and rescue efforts, reinforcing the spirit of solidarity at sea.

While over 350 Synergy-managed vessels are engaged in AMVER, four Synergy Denmark-managed vessels—EVA MAERSK, MAERSK MISSISSIPPI, OM BORNEO, and YI BAO—received specific recognition from the U.S. Coast Guard for their vital contributions.

At Synergy, the protection of life at sea remains at the core of our values. We remain steadfast in our mission to uphold the highest standards of maritime safety, ensuring that every voyage contributes to a safer and more resilient global shipping industry.
