The dry bulk sector remains central to global trade, where consistency, safety, and reliability are the benchmarks of excellence. Ship managers, seafarers, and owners alike share responsibility for upholding these standards across complex and competitive markets.

In recognition of this commitment, the 2012-built Kamsarmax  KEY JOURNEY, managed by Synergy Onyx, our specialist dry vessel Document of Compliance (DOC) based in Pune, India, has been honoured with the  NYK Dry Bulk Award 2025 for outstanding operational standards.

At the award ceremony in Japan, Synergy’s representative Yojiro Asada  and  Ajay Chaudhry, Co-CEO Ship Management, received the certificate on behalf of the Synergy family at sea and ashore.

A Recognition of Teamwork and Professionalism

This recognition is a tribute to every seafarer who has served on KEY JOURNEY over the years, and to the current team led by Captain Dig Vijay Samyal, Chief Engineer Sunil Kumar Panjetha, Chief Officer Ashish Bansal, and Second Engineer Alagarsamy Srinivasan. Their professionalism and teamwork embody the values that guide Synergy every day.

Commenting on the award, Ajay Chaudhry remarked:
“With NYK’s dry bulk fleet exceeding 400 vessels, this recognition reflects the consistency and reliability of our teams. It reaffirms the culture of safety, service and continuous improvement that defines Synergy’s 28,000 seafarers worldwide.”
