Seafaring is one of the few professions where a vessel’s flag is accorded the same respect as a national flag. On Synergy-managed vessels, multinational crews stand together, honouring not only the flag above them but also the values and standards it represents.

In July 2025, the Liberian Registry – the world’s largest flag administration – formally recognised Synergy Denmark A/S and the crews of nine Liberia-flagged vessels for their outstanding safety and performance record.

The certificate of commendation, signed by Alfonso Castillero, Chief Executive Officer of the Liberian International Ship & Corporate Registry (LISCR), acknowledged the fleet’s safe operation over the past two years without a single detention by Port State Control (PSC).

“This stellar safety and performance record is in keeping with the highest of maritime traditions. This Administration greatly appreciates the dedication to safety and compliance of your team and your seafarers,” noted the Liberian Registry.

A Testament to Synergy’s Safety Culture

At Synergy Marine Group, safety and compliance are at the heart of our ship management services. The commendation from the Liberian Registry underscores our commitment to:

  • PSC Excellence – maintaining a spotless record with zero IMO detentions.
  • Seafarer Dedication – professional crews consistently upholding international safety standards.
  • Shore Team Support – strong operational oversight ensuring compliance across all managed vessels.

Why This Matters

Port State Control inspections remain one of the most critical measures of operational safety and regulatory compliance across the global fleet.

Achieving two years of detention-free inspections across nine vessels demonstrates Synergy’s safety culture, operational discipline, and respect for the flags our vessels sail under.

As one of the world’s leading providers of third-party ship management, with more than  700 vessels across all major shipping segments, Synergy Marine Group remains focused on systems, people, and processes to deliver confidence, compliance, and value to shipowners, regulators, and global trade partners.
