Synergy Marine Group was recognised as “Ship Management Company of the Year” at the inaugural Marports Global Conference & Excellence Awards 2026, held in Thiruvananthapuram, India.

The recognition reflects the organisation’s continued focus on safe, compliant and efficient vessel operations across a diverse fleet, supported by strong operational processes and experienced shipboard and shore-based teams.

As the operating environment evolves, ship management is becoming increasingly complex, with growing expectations around sustainability, regulatory compliance and performance. In this context, consistent execution at sea remains central.

In the preceding quarter, Synergy took under management several vessels incorporating features such as wind-assisted propulsion, gate rudder configurations, and alternative fuel capabilities including LNG and methanol. Each brings its own operational requirements across crew readiness, fuel handling, monitoring and maintenance.

The award was presented by Divya Iyer, IAS, Managing Director, Vizhinjam International Seaport Ltd.

Receiving the recognition, a Synergy representative noted:

“This recognition is accepted with humility on behalf of our 30,000 seagoing colleagues, whose work every day underpins everything we do at Synergy.”

The award reflects the efforts of Synergy’s seagoing and shore-based teams in maintaining operational discipline and supporting vessel performance across its managed fleet.
