UK Met Office recognised Synergy-managed vessel ‘KMARIN RESOLUTION’ with the ‘Excellent Award’

In February 2022 an appreciative UK Met Office recognised the Synergy-managed and UK flagged tanker “KMARIN RESOLUTION” with the Gold Award for its performance in 2021 as part of the Voluntary Observing Fleet.

This requires at least 350 weather observations to a high standard of accuracy across the technical criteria of wind, air pressure and temperature and relative humidity.

It was achieved even though the “KMARIN RESOLUTION” only started this in February 2021.

Describing this as an Excellent Award, the Met Office kindly thanked the vessel for its considerable efforts over a difficult and challenging 11 months, which it said contributed to improved safety at sea by helping with the accuracy of marine forecasts.
