(\u201cSearchlight\u201d) and Synergy Marine Group (\u201cSynergy&#8221;) have today announced the completion of Searchlight\u2019s acquisition of a minority ownership stake in Synergy, a leading global ship manager and provider of <a href=\"\/services\/ship-management-services-overview\/\">end-to-end maritime solutions<\/a>. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.<\/p>\n\n<p>Synergy was founded in 2006 by Captain Rajesh Unni and is now the fourth largest ship manager globally, with around 500 vessels under <a href=\"\/services\/technical-management\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">technical management<\/a>, including tankers, dry bulk, containers and gas carriers. Synergy provides ship owners with mission-critical services including full technical management (e.g. regulatory compliance, maintenance, procurement and remote systems monitoring), <a href=\"\/services\/crew-management\/\">crew management<\/a> (e.g. sourcing and training of seafarers and services like payroll) as well as marine services, (e.g. decarbonization services, seafarer health and wellness, <a href=\"\/services\/new-builds-and-special-projects\/\">newbuilding design and supervision<\/a> and project management including for the installation of energy saving devices).
